Bulk, Mass & Spam Emails Are Strictly Prohibited
At MyFreeHostSA, we take email security seriously. To protect all clients on our servers, we strictly prohibit sending bulk, mass, or unsolicited emails from accounts hosted with us.
Bulk, Mass & Spam Emails Are Not Allowed
- Sending newsletters, promotions, or unsolicited messages directly from your hosting account is not permitted.
- Our systems monitor outgoing email activity and will automatically suspend accounts that show unusual sending patterns.
- A penalty fee of R1500.00 applies to reinstate any suspended account.
- Repeated violations may result in permanent suspension or termination of hosting services.
Why These Restrictions Are in Place
- All hosted email accounts share server resources, including IP addresses.
- If one account sends spam (even unintentionally, e.g. holiday greetings to a large list), anti-spam services can blacklist the server’s IP.
- This can cause all clients on the server to lose email-sending ability, even if only one account was at fault.
The Right Way to Send Bulk Emails
If you need to send newsletters, product specials, or announcements:
- Use a dedicated bulk email service that is designed for high-volume sending and compliant with anti-spam regulations.
- We can assist you in setting up a suitable bulk email solution if you have an opt-in mailing list.
